A new online site called Diet To Go has been in existence for 15 years. You may have seen their ads on ABC TV. While not a new company, they are certainly new to the internet scene and offer low-fat, low-sodium, and low-cholesterol diet plans. What makes Diet to Go different than other online diet plans? Let’s take a look.

By answering questions about your health and dietary intake, the Diet-To-Go counselors will set up a meal plan designed especially for you. They claim their low-fat diet has helped thousands of moms, executives, and home-bound individuals lose from 2-3 pounds per week.

While they offer meal plans for all types of eating habits, the cost of their service is a bit high. For example, the price of your plan depends on a number of factors including: the number of meals per day, the portion sizes, whether or not you include snacks, how long you wish to commit, and how many people in your household. Their average customer spends about $70 - $75 per week.

While they have specials and other promotions available, it is best to contact them to determine what types of meal plans they offer to fit your needs. They do have a price plan page which delineates the number of meals based on a 5- and 7-day plan, which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their 7-day plan, for example, is 1200 calories and costs $112.99. They also offer a dinner-only package for those who do not eat 3 meals a day. The 14-dinner-only package sells for $121.99. It should also be noted their plans also include a 1600-calorie package at $125.99.

The downside to this new online diet program is that although the menus are designed to meet your needs, the prices are quite high. In addition, their live chat is not available at this time, and unless you know what to look for, their menu and price page is not easy to find.

While Diet-To-Go does offer support services, sample menus, free analysis, a community forum, and a dietician on call, the site does not seem to be fully functional at this time. Without testimonials, other than the TV ads, it will be difficult to determine if their program has succeeded where others have failed. However, Diet-To-Go does deserve a look-see since they do offer different types of plans where you are not locked into to any specific long-term expenditure.
